Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) — James M. Houser, 61, of 215 Jackson St., died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 3, 1976) at his home. He had been ill several years. He was born in Hillsboro on Aug. 5, 1914, the son of Martyn and Ethel Ayresmith Houser. On April 30, 1951, he married Jane E. Cutter in Rockville. She survives. Other survivors include a son, John Houser of Veedersburg; a brother, John Houser of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Mabel) Fry of Hillsboro and Mrs. Edward (Marguarite) Tate of Chicago. Mr. Mouser was a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church. Mr. Houser's body was donated to the Indiana Medical Center. Private memorial services will be at 10 a. m. Friday at Parham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Youngblood officiating. The family has requested that any memorials be contributed to the Heart Fund.  --typed by Walt W
